As For Me And My House...

We will serve the LORD!!! Joshua 24:15 As I woke this morning, this verse along with the song that's playing resonated on my mind. Yesterday has come and gone and God is still on His throne! He's the God of this city, nation & universe...nothing can change that. There is an amazing peace that comes in knowing that. Greater things are yet to be done in this city, nation & universe!!!
THERE IS NO ONE LIKE OUR GOD!

Yesterday, along with all the anticipation of and focus on the election someone turned another year older in this house. He got home fifteen minutes before the kids were to be in bed, but we were still able to celebrate... jammies included. The kids and I turned all the lights off and hid behind the couch. I loved hearing their little giggles as they waited ready to burst from behind the couch to surprise their daddy. They love their daddy so much....and I do too! Happy Birthday, Kevin! Thanks for leading this house to serve the Lord!

Sherri.. what a sweet post!! This morning I woke and I started to feel a little worried and scared for our future and then I remembered who holds my future. The song "My Redeemer lives" keeps coming to my mind. I am so thankful for my Redeemer. Be blessed today.

Yes, Last nights outcome was very hard to swallow. So disappointing!!!

Happy birthday Kevin...Why did you work so hard on your birthday?? Didn't you know you get to call in sick when it's your birthday and celebrate ALL day?

Sherri, Is there new news about the baby...that Nicole is talking about? DO TELL! :)

It's funny that you asked that, Heather. When I saw Nicole's comment, I had to think a minute too...then figured out that she was talking about baby Jeremy. :)

I wish so badly that we had new news, but sorry...nothing. :( All these new babies are really making me anxious though!!

Nicole's comment had me confused as well! Election or not, it's been a needed reminder this week that God is in control. I'm glad the big stuff is Someone Else's responsibility. Happy Birthday Kevin!

My birthday was not muted by the fact the people elected an individual that some believe will pay their mortgages for them! What a great surprise to come home to! Thanks babe! There's no greater encouragement in the day and age we are in to know that our God is ultimately in control.

I told my family that my goal is to live to 100, so they have 67 more years of awesomeness left...heh heh. You do the math.
