This was the view outside our front door this morning. We woke up to a Winter Storm Warning and eight inches of beautiful fluffy white snow.
Our church was cancelled, so we were stuck at home all day.
There's something fun about being snowed in when everyone gets to stay home together. I love it! Daddy made grits for breakfast and later we all played outside.
Sledding down the lane.
We made the snow ice cream this time...it was delicious with sprinkles on top!

Very cute pictures and post SHerri! How much fun to have so much snow!!
Now how about some of that snow ice cream??? Can you post how you made it?? Sounds wonderful!
Snow Ice Cream
INGREDIENTS
1 gallon snow
1 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 cups milk
DIRECTIONS
When it starts to snow, place a large, clean bowl outside to collect the flakes. When full, stir in sugar and vanilla to taste, then stir in just enough milk for the desired consistency. Serve at once.
Thanks Sherri! can't wait to try it.
I bet the kids will want that every time is snows! What a neat idea. I loved to hear their squeals.
